...so you fancy the thought of a massage session?

The 90minute or 120minute massage sessions are always my preference as they give me enough time to build in most techniques e.g. joint manipulation and deep tissue work where required as well as general muscle therapy and relaxation. The 120min is obviously the ultimate in luxury and best value for money so if you’ve got the free time l’d thoroughly recemend it but the 90min is also a lovely massage and tends to be the most popular. 

 

A full body massage @Marco For Men is specifically designed for the male form. We include most surface muscles including glutes, pecs & abs, as well as feet, hands & scalp. We will always tailor the massage to your individual needs depending on whether you're looking to de-stress, to quench those aches & pains or to merely relax with a fundamental celebration of skin.

 

We will always take time for an open conversation when you arrive for your session to understand what drove you to make the appointment, to talk about your past massage history & any specific likes, dislikes or concerns that you might have so that we can tailor your massage to your individual needs.Whether it be a first massage booking as a slightly nervous, tentative step into the world of relaxation and physical wellbeing, a one-off specific session for a specific need or a regular component of your ongoing 'Look Good, Feel Good' strategy, our aim is to understand & meet your specific, personal needs.

 

We adapt your massage by blending the fundamental elements that we use in most sessions in the right balance to match your personal remit:

 

- RELAXATION: Effleurage (stroking) is a fundamental part of every massage. Normally delivered with the palms of the hands we also like to incorporate 'no hands' techniques utilising the softer flesh of the inner forearm & the outer upper arm as well as finger tips for the more delicate areas. Pressure can be anywhere from soft to firm depending on what we agree in our consultation.

 

- MUSCLE CARE: Petrissage and Tapotement take over once the muscles are warm and relaxed. Petrissage (kneading) aims to re-align the muscles & untangle the knots to return balance to your posture & alleviate those aches & pains caused by too much driving, bad desk posture, poor computer stance or over compensation through injury. Tapotement (pounding, hacking and cupping) stimulates & invigorates whilst also helping to relax the muscles through lymphatic drainage & removal of lactic acid build-up caused by a hard day in garden, at sport or any other period of intense muscle over-usage.

 

- SENSUALITY: Skin is the largest organ of our body & the route to one of our primary senses. Touching & being touched tends to evoke huge stimulus & emotion leading to feelings of pleasure, well-being, security, calm & relaxation. By maximising skin to skin contact through upper body work, we imbibe a sensuality that is unrivalled in pleasing this basic sensory route. However, please don't confuse sensual with erotic; whilst we aim to please we always maintain professional boundaries.
